Glossary for reading a domain dossier
A stable vocabulary helps distinguish facts, interpretation, uncertainty and limits without turning them into a score.
Observation
A public fact collected or derived from a defined external source and method.
Observed
A knowledge state used when the public evidence directly supports the statement.
Deduced
A qualified interpretation supported by observations but not directly stated by the source itself.
To confirm
A point for which available public material is insufficient to reach a firmer reading.
Not observable from outside
A point that cannot reasonably be established from the external public surface alone.
Contradictory
A state used when public elements point in incompatible directions.
Not tested
A question for which the relevant check was not performed in the current reading.
Evidence
The source material retained to support an observation or statement.
Confidence
A qualification of how strongly the available material supports a statement. It is not a security score.
Limit
The boundary beyond which Scanapse does not claim that the observation proves something.
Snapshot
A frozen reading of a domain at a given time, used as a reference for comparison.
Timeline
The sequence of stored readings and meaningful changes for a domain.
Dependency
A public relationship showing that a domain visibly relies on another domain, provider or resource.
Trajectory
The useful evolution of a domain across several readings after volatile noise has been filtered.
